ORS STAFF

Craig Crowson & Mary Goss-Crowson

Craig had no idea what he was in for when he got involved with ORS (or Mary) about seven years ago. His favorite job is talking on the microphone.

Linda Barnett (left); Hometown - Lebanon, MO

Linda works as an I.T. person during the day, and the scope of her life skills has yet to be fully realized.  At ORS, she can do any task, but her favorite is greeting husband Brent at the finish line of each race.

Linda Brewer; Hometown - Hattiesburg, MS

Linda is a retired reading specialist with the Springfield Public Schools.  Linda has worked with ORS since its inception in 1982 and is an important part of our group.  She keeps threatening to retire from ORS as well, but we ignore her when she says that.

Joe Lomosi; Hometown - Kakamega, Kenya

Joe Lomosi once lamented that he is an early riser, but there was nothing to do at 5 am. He made the mistake of saying this in front of Linda Barnett. One year and many races later, Joe can be seen setting up and timing early morning races for Ozark Racing Systems. Although he doesn't have a favorite race, he says triathlons are most challenging. Joe is originally from Kenya, but he says that hasn't helped his running.

RRS STAFF

Mary Goss-Crowson, Hometown - Springfield, MO

Mary has been running for 33 yrs.  She has completed 17 marathons with a p.r. of 3:16:34.  She remembers when she had to wear men's clothing to work out in.

Angie Dodson, Hometown - Battlefield, MO

Angie (in turquoise) ran track in high school where she placed 5th in state in the 4x4 relay. She still holds the triple jump record at Logan-Rogersville. She continues to run to stay in shape and set a healthy example for her children. She loves how running makes her feel, and wants to set PRs in 5 and 10ks.

Chris Yates, Hometown - Ozark, MO

Chris is a member of the Drury University cross country team. Seemingly running since birth, Chris is always pushing himself to be faster. When asked what motivates him to keep running, Chris replied, "The guy in front of me."

Jared Meyer, Hometown - Springfield, MO

Jared has been running for about three years, since Jodi got him started. He competes in Xterra races and mountain bike races during the summer. Jared is a student at Missouri State University, and in the winter he dreams of summer.

Lucy Stein, Hometown - St. Louis, MO

Lucy runs, plays tennis and swims. According to her daughter, Gretchen, Lucy loves junk food and anything sweet. Her favorite meal is pizza and dessert must be ice cream with peanuts and chocolate sauce. "Love to eat; therefore I run! Live to eat; love to exercise -- Does that motivate you?!"

SHARK SPRINT TRIATHLON

Last summer on a rare Sunday morning, a group of us traveled to Rogers, AR to compete in the Shark Sprint Triathlon.  (It is rare for Craig and I to compete in anything.)  The company was great, the conversation was enlightening, and we brought home some awards.  (Pictured below:  Brandon Woolley, Bill Graff, Gretchen Graff, Bill Sharples, Melissa Sharples, Craig Crowson, Mary Goss-Crowson.
