RidgeRunner Sports Events
Below is a link to our 2010 Calendar of Events. There will be many updates. Be sure to check each week.
THE NEW MAN IN TOWN
There's a new man in town. He is called the Branson Mountain Man. If you want to become a Branson mountain man or woman, join us for a new triathlon at the Branson RecPlex on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 7 a.m.
The distances will be 450 yds. in the pool, 20 miles on the bike, and 5K on the run. Yes, it will be hilly. We do have permission and full cooperation from MODOT who will clean and patrol the High Road. The Recplex is a wonderful facility. There will be food, drinks, music and mountains of fun.
The Mountain Man theme will be prevalent throughout all aspects of the race -- including the t-shirts and awards.
We are in the process of getting the paperwork ready and online registration set up. We will keep you posted.
TRAIN YOUR KIDS
For at least 17 years, we have been leading a six-week training session for kids leading up to the Cox Medical Mile. Some of these kids have run high school track and cross country. Some have had college running careers. It is a fun, nonintimidating atmostphere. Our first meeting is April 28, 6 p.m. Burrell Lake. It will continue for six weeks.
