Runners at the
Eisenhower Marathon and Half Marathon wind
through the territory south of Abilene that cattlemen followed
when bringing their herds to Abilene on the Chisholm Trail in
the 1800s.
All paved course, mostly flat
and fast, USATF sanctioned and certified, code #KSO 2046BG,
2011 Boston Marathon Qualifier. Race begins and ends
at the Eisenhower Presidential
Center. Marathon start time 7a.m. on April
10, 2010, (7:30 a.m. for 5K/10K; 9 a.m. for Walk). Traffic
detoured 7a.m.-1p.m.

PACKET PICK-UP and LATE
REGISTRATION
Friday, April 9,
from 2-9 p.m. at Eisenhower Visitors Center, 310 S. Buckeye,
for all races.
Race day after 5
a.m. for 5K/10K and walk only with 5K/10K
runners strongly encouraged to register early in order to be
completely processed by no later than 6:30 a.m.
PRE-REGISTERED
Marathon and Half-Marathon runners may pick up packets
between 5-6:30 a.m. on race day. Packets
include T-shirt, race number, meal tickets, and course
map. |
